Sources of Fundamental Data: 
One of the best, and easiest ways to get the historic fundamental data needed for Equity Evaluator is from your local library. Ask at the reference desk for one of the following: 

•  The Value Line Survey

•  Standard & Poor's Stock Reports 
•  Morning Star Stock Reports          

                (Many Stock brokers also can provide one of these reports, or an equivalent.)

Buying Shares and Establishing Direct Purchase Accounts:

• Some States and the Companies based there, require that an individual own at least a single share of a Company Stock before a Direct Purchase account can be established. The organizations represented on the following websites offer programs for buying that first share, or setting up an account once the initial share purchase has been made.

  • www.directinvesting.com/moneypage/enrollment/testerms.cfm Temper Enrollment Services offers a program for buying initial shares.

  • www.firstshare.com a buyers club where initial shares are bought and sold between members.

  • www.oneshare.com  their rates are on the high side, but initial shares can be bought as a certificate.

  • www.giveashare.com  similar to the site above.

  • www.dripadvisor.com offers an extensive list of Direct Purchase accounts available, once the initial purchase has been made.

• Direct Enrollment Plans allow an investor to open a Direct Purchase account prior to owning any shares in a Company. Check these sites for Direct Enrollment Plans.

  • www.amstock.com American Stock Transfer & Trust is a Transfer Agent

  • www.enrolldirect.com The Clearinghouse offers many plans, keep an eye on fees.

  • www.stockbny.com  sponsored by The Bank of New York, this site offers information and enrollment for both Direct Enrollment, and DRiPs plans.

  • www1.netstockdirect.com  this site is a part of  ShareBuilder, which is mentioned below, under 'Portfolio Services'.

  • www.stocktrans.com this site is run by a Transfer Agent.

  • https://gateway.equiserve.com click the 'Buy Stocks Direct' link in the lefty hand margin, then use the link under the 'Quick Finder' heading. 

  • www.chasemellon.com on the left side of the Home page, about half way down, see 'Stock Purchase Plans'

• A few organizations offer both the opportunity to purchase the initially required shares when necessary, as well as establishing accounts for Direct Enrollment with the Company or it's Transfer Agent:

  • www.better-investing.org The National Association of Investors Corp (NAIC), also sells membership at a reasonable price that includes some excellent education materials. They have a program for the initial purchase of shares that is reasonable and convenient.

• Commonly called 'Portfolio Services', the following websites offer accounts for Direct Purchase investor's looking for one stop shopping. These services hold shares like a Stock Broker, so uninterrupted investment is dependent on continued membership.

• TradingWaves -  Daily stock market commentary and trade signals for the E-Mini S&P 500 futures contract.

• Credit and Debt Resource Center - Complete information to help consumers manage their personal finances. Credit, debt help, loan information and more
